I haven't, but it won't hurt to try it...

Have you ever tried wild garlic with that instead of onions?

I like onions pretty well, but garlic has a little bit of a sweeter flavor and I find myself eating it more often...

Spring lettuce & onions with hot grease poured over them . And a cake of cornbread ... can't wait!

The long range forecast shows two upcoming nights that will be 49. A lot of plants wilt below 50, so just keep that in mind.

Smelly, I don't see any forecast of frost in the near future so I would put them in the ground now. I keep enough stuff to cover them if we get a cold snap. I usually re-pot mine into quart sized containers carting them in and out to acclimate them to the existing conditions prior to their final planting.

Anti I'm sure you can! Ask the Irish :) love the trashcan idea.

Tab, our inside/outside car passed away, but before he got sick WOW. What a hunter !

We didn't have this problem until he got sick.

It's great to see politics has not 'soiled' your garden thread!

I planted potatoes for the first time ever! I've read that, in a pinch, you can live indefinitely on a diet of potatoes, butter, and salt.

Ht, I planted mine in a large 20 gallon trash can... tall enough that voles can't really get in to it. And it'll be easy to harvest when the time comes, I can just dump it into another trash can and start over.

A good cat will get rid of voles.

Tilley 22, you got my mouth watering right now. Nothing better than an mater sandwich on some homemade bread with some Dukes!

There is a trap that I saw. For those lawn and garden destroyers. It's round and has a thingamjig. That resembles a guillotine. You find where they've dug. Like the long raised earth. You place it or line it up rather. With their little dig line. I guess you can find one at Tractor Supply or LWES. Happy hunting!

Mowing and hoeing! My plantings are about over for the day. The last two days have been productive as I have got mustard, lettuce, onions, potatoes, corn, green beans, cucumbers and tomatoes in the ground. As a young man I could do the entire garden in a day after it was plowed but time takes a toll, and planting has turned into a three- day job!

Got my taters in the ground on Good Friday. I've planted garlic, onions and a lettuce bed. I transplanted some squash plants today but my tomato seedlings aren't quite ready to transplant yet. Can't wait for a good ole mater sandwich made with a REAL tomato!

Biden, Biden, Biden, Trump, Trump, Trump. Dam, is that all you people think about? Take an old man's advice and put something in the ground. I am thinking we will be needing it soon. It looks like the danger of frost is about over with and I am planting about everything. Good Friday has always been my target for planting green beans. If we have a late frost or my seeds don't come up I will simply re-plant. My biggest danger will be the tomatoes as they will be transplanted out of the hot pots into the garden today. Get outside and get down and dirty!
