That's a whole different story, Miller. But you're missing a large piece of the puzzle... undocumented immigrants pay income tax and sales tax just like everyone else, but unlike citizens they can't get any type of refund, welfare, disability, retirement, or housing assistance.

Because of this, they contribute more than $328 billion in tax revenue each year, and $926.9 billion to the economyundocu (as of 2014... it's probably higher by now, since we have more undocumented immigrants):

The last study on how much immigrants cost was by a Conservative group in 2013 (just a year before the study showing how much they contribute). That study found that we spend about $54.5 billion on emergency room services, fire and police, schools, etc for them (which isn't really fair, since the schools, police, and fire departments already exist... but whatever):

That's still a net gain of $273.5 billion in tax revenue, not counting the contribution to the economy in food purchases, rent, etc. So it's quite foolish to try to argue against undocumented immigrants... we really need a lot MORE of them!

i saw and read about that. More than one article, website etc. I do admit i am having to struggle. For the instance to be 100% on the up and up.

OK!NOW! allow me to throw a ginormous 3/4 wrench into the transmission. can you remember not long ago.US Citizens razing caine about illegal aliens or whatever. people that are`nt in this country legally. yet they got and are still getting. FREE HEALTHCARE at Emergency Rooms. From our NCDHHS(North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services)"Social Services".Well? I am vehemently leaning towards to. An "ole timey" clique.
It`s come back to bite you in the butt. These Hospitals,Doctors and Doctors Offices. Have to find the money the state. Either didnt pay or forgot to reimburse or just plainly did`nt have the money. I do apologize if my statement offended anyone. It`s just my personal opinion and or obsevation.

This woman in Hickory schedules a C-section for her delivery. She makes sure that the hospital and doctors are all in her insurance network, so there shouldn't be any out-of-network fees.

Then after she has the baby... surprise! Here's a $1,261 bill!

Come to find out, Catawba Valley Medical Center used a third party for anesthesia... Western Piedmont Anesthesia. And well, they're not in her network, so insurance didn't cover them

The article doesn't tell you that insurance would usually pay $900 for anesthesia for a C-section, and the hospital has to accept that rate as full payment. They finally agreed to give her the insurance rate instead of the non-insured rate, but still she has to come up with $900 because someone else screwed up.

If you're going to the hospital, I guess you're expected to keep up with every little detail yourself?
