Transportation requirements would rule out anywhere north-west of Charlotte. I plan on protesting more Charlotte/Raleigh than wasting much time on Hickory to be honest.

If Trump has any say (which I think he does) I would think Texas, Florida, Pennsylvania, and New York would have his approval.

Besides, I am sure if they visit, they will not pick us because we do not have anything that interesting to tempt them, other than nature, which is awesome, We are just not that sophisticated, and folks look for great schools for their kids, not that our schools are bad, but maybe not great enough. Honestly, it would be awesome, but I do not hold much hope considering their options.

The type of outsiders would be crazy. I hope to join others to lessen our chances. It would be a shame if a large surge of employees tried to turn more political areas blue in NC locally and at the state level.
I hope Detroit or DC gets them. Or anywhere in New England for that matter. From a business standpoint I would consider Denver but I'm pretty sure Amazon is going to select somewhere on the east coast.

Do not panic! Could be a great benifit! Do not creep out about folks sexual orientation. The community will probably lose the bid, but we could benefit with all the autistic folks!

I can't believe Hickory joined Charlotte, Triad, and Research Triangle in submitting bids before the deadline. WE DO NOT WANT THEM HERE OR THAT CLOSE. Housing would disappear, homeless would tenfold, crime would be at record levels we have never seen, cost of living would be x50, etc just like in Seattle HQ1.
I honestly hope Amazon sees through that we do not have the speedy transportation infrastructure and honestly we are not open to their type of employees regarding sexual orientation. I also would never want to chalk one up for Cooper and hope Forest limits him to one term when he runs for his promotion.
Yea we need more high tech jobs for young people but NOT to this extent. If there is any protests or letters to Amazon that would hurt our chances I will be sure to sign on and attend. I hope to start some myself if I have time or I will search social media for some to share.
